Is there a shop that specializes in Parkerizing? I have access to Zinc, Chrome, Cad but Parkerizing is different to me. I live in Indiana. Thanks!

Kip, You can do it on your own kitchen stove. Just do a search here under parkerizing or Google it. Bob L

I would suggest buying a hot plate and doing it outside.

Definitely use a plate, or underburner. Takes a lot of heat, and some time, too. I can't imagine doing it in an oven. For what the suppies cost, and the mess, unless you are going to do a lot of it, just look for a gunsmith, or in the yellow pages, is my suggestion. Mike

Go to brownells gun supplies and do it outside or in your shop with a large piece of 1/2" plywood. Manganese will burn concrete or anything else it comes in contact with. Pm me and i will go thru the processe with you. It' really easy, but you have to be careful. I have been doing home parkerizing for yrs.
