    Build finally done WWI bike

    20260801_082409.jpg
The bike was build using a 1915 engine and a 1917 transmission. made it a WWI Army bike it turned out great. original Corbin brown, pretolite tank, klaxton horn, original calvary saddlebags, scabbard. turned into more of an Army bike, to represent.
Had to get a frame off eBay and the front end (1915 type) from Competition Distributing with most small parts, eBay was a good source of parts I also found this shop Comet Restorations in Spain, shipping can be rather expensive, but they have nice original parts and the guy it honest. Check it out Comet Restorations. it took longer than expected since I am out 5000 euros to another vender. Expensive prospecting initiation to this club!!! I call this War Horse Conscription; the Warrior is ready for service. not my first build but my favorite!!

Nice, you put a lot of cool details on it, like the medals on the saddlebags. Interesting front fender, too.

Thanks Joe and Eddie for the compliment. the medals on the saddle bags are from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. I also have an original WWI messenger bag, that has pins representing all the branches of the Military, with the WACs, WASPs, WAVEs and Rosie the Riveter. tried to represent all of the Fathers, Mothers, and warriors pasted it turned out real nice. I am retired Army SFC so that's the rank on the bike

Hi Jojo. working on the fine tuning, but it's running alright, but new cuss words coming out of my mouth are frequent. fresh rebuild using old original parts, old modified parts, and reproduction parts that are kind of exact copies makes things interesting. should have it dilled in soon. Thanks

cant see how you mounted the bottom of the front fender or angle of the rocker plates, but the front edge of the fender looks like it's touching the tire.
you do have the lower fender mounted to the spring fork rocker plate bushing stud & not the rigid fork bushing stud right?

the fender is not touching, do have it mounted to the springer rocker plate, i may need to get a new set of springs and readjust the angle. My first time doing something this old. So I am learning but i think this will be ok. thanks for noticing this i will keep an eye on it. Curtis
