    WWI Harley build

1915 Harley Engine, 1917 transmission, misc. parts from 1915-1919, I was able to find an original frame on eBay, and forks from competition distributing, most of the rest is small parts needed and competition has been really helpful. I am going to ride this and use it as a WWI teaching tool for kids. I am not attempting to find all the one year only parts just parts I can make work, and that is from the period from 1915-1919. There will be some repo. parts because being a Retired SFC US Army don't make you as rich as digging a ditch. If anyone can come up with any ideas how to teach kids or how to attack this build, please let me know. I am trying to get this done by summer of next year when I finish my Masters Degree in WWII studies.

Sorry for the late response Curtis. I did up a privateer J/JD for Board Track racing, with parts from the teens to 1929 as per guidline's of Michael Lange's board track requirements. Although far from being an expert on the early models, i did acquire a whole lot of experience during the course of the build. PM me, I have a few choice contacts with a lot of spares/knowledge on your particular build. As far as the young people involvement, that is a Great idea!!! I have a few suggestions along the lines of your plans. But, i wouldn't worry too much about it now. Remember this simple rule Curtis, a Good Lookin & 'RUNNING' Motorcycle will always attract!!! "If You Build it...They will Come''.
