If you are refering to the slot in which the bottom boss of the transmission fits, the answer you received is correct, the plates may appear visually correct but the one that you have is for electric start. I have one also and am using it on my '66 build. The transmission I am using for that does not have the boss since the transmission is located by the cast aluminum inner primary. The kick-start plates were of course used for both the rigid and swingarm models with the tin primaries.
