I'm working on a 71 FX and need to have the left side case repaired. The cast in steel boss is loose in the alumnium case. Where should I send this to for repair? I used STD for this before and had good luck but I guess they are gone and they still have the last set that I sent just over a year ago.
    Thanks, Kerry Glaze

I've had this issue before and H.D. waurenteed it with a new left case with my #s.
Even if I had to pay for the new case with original #s it would prolbably wouldn't cost much more money than a good repair.
I would talk to Harley about replacement before I did anything
    Hope this helped.
    Steve

Check with Tom Shaw at www.creeksidemc.com . He did a great job on two sets of early cases and a transmission case for me.
