    Cylinder base studs

    Hi- Are the HD cylinder base studs made as an interference fit to the cases?

    Is it ok to use a std tap to clean up the cases? It appears that the threads of the stud is where the interference fit comes from, at least my tap wouldn't go more than 1/2 turn.

      It is my understanding that the base studs were an interference fit.
