I have not used this guy, but others that I know personally have, and they speak highly of him. He is near Albany and specializes in all old Harley motors.

He posts regularly on this forum as chopprs, if you want to check him out.

There's also a guy in Northern Jersey named John Zanetti that does old harley motors and transmissions. His shop number is 973-347-seventy seventy.

He did my 4-speed transmission and it shifts like butter, with zero leaks.

He posts as johnjzjz on this forum:

May as well add to the confusion; Steve McPhillips, think it's Mac"s V-Twin.

You might try The 74 Shop in Saugerties, N.Y. They have a web site and specialize in Panheads. I used to deal with Joe Barber in the 1980's and 1990's 'til he died way too soon. His son Steve took over the business.

Emailed them but never got a reply.

I will probably be talking to Scott about it. He worked one of my motors for me before and did great work.

I trust him. He did work for me on my Chief and currently is rebuilding the bottom end of a 741 I am working on.
IMO world class machinist. By the way I am in Bridgeport NY where are you in CNY?
