  • Differences between model G engines and standard 45 flathead.

I'm looking at buying a 1954. The thing that I'm looking for feedback on is that it has a model G engine that would have been from a trike. The title reads 1954 model G. The bike frame is a 1951 or 1952.

Does the fact that the title is a model G hurt the value of the bike greatly or is this something common? Could this somehow be a servi-car that was converted?

What is the difference between the model G and the standard 45 flathead?

If it is a bobber or not restored the price won't matter. Most 45" are modified and fun!

Basically the engine number! The only real difference is that "G" engines had cast iron heads and slightly lower compression as well as a little carb.
