  • hydraulic or soilds for 62 pan

i have torn down my pan to the frame so while the moter is out i was going to put the hydraulic lifters and push rods in and take the solid lifters and push rods .Should i go back to the stock lifters and push rods or just leave the solids

You should go back to Stock.

      Sailfish!

Are you certain that you have a stock cam?
You may want to put a dial indicator upon a tappet and measure the lift.
Many common replacement cams are not compatible with hydraulics.

Are the bores of the lifter blocks too worn for hydraulics? oversize lifters might be necessary. That is why many went to solids

I like the hydraulics in my '65. I used oversized Siftons, and they work good. Stock cam. Mike

I had solids on my 62 when I first got it. It took me about a year to come to my senses and put hydraulics back in.
