Linkert M 51 help missing screw?

hello, can anyone tell me the size of the screw that should hold the throttle cable in place, and if i can use a generic screw in its place. heres a pic.

took a gamble, local hardware store, for anyone who runs into a similar problem the size is 8-32x1/2 machine screw.

In the back of most every HD parts book is an area for fasteners which gives you style and pitch of most every nut, bolt etc.
