A question of interest. On a say 47-48 5 hole springer head light bracket. What are the side electrical terminals for? Spotlights? While on the subject. The frame terminals according to the book ended in 47 but I see them a lot on 48’s. Side car? What’s the story Heeere. Bob L

And the answer to question two is? They no longer needed the frame terminals in 48 because they now had the terminal strip behind the coil. Thank you much. Clete Borchert at Old Dude. Bob L

47 Frame Terminals

Speaking of frame terminals, I'm starting to put my 47 Knuckle together. I bought the repop frame terminal kit from colony. I'm assuming that the screw goes down and I know where the inulators go,but there is two paper gaskets with the kit. where do they go? I can't find any info where these go or how the kit is installed in the frame.

I'm holding one of these as I type. Screw goes up from the bottom with one insulator through the timble that fits in the frame hole, The paper gasket and then the other insulator. Nut. Not to tight. They crack. Your done. Bob L
