  • Briggs & Stratton ignition Switches for Indian motorcycles

Can anyone identify these switches? They are not consistent with Indian Verticals for B or M ignition from 1949-1952.
Are they Chief and Sport Scout?

This is complete conjecture, and possibly in the bin of baloney, John but I recall an old time AMCA Indian guy telling me that the Crosley car used an Indian type ignition switch. I've looked closely at Crosleys and the switch doesn't look like an Indian, but maybe all of that Bakelite stuff is behind the metal dashboard on a Crosley and all you see is the stainless steel key part. The Crosley Museum is here in Sarasota, FL and I have never been there. I think it is an old time Florida tourist trap but I told my wife that we are going after Christmas. . . It's got to be better than 'Dismal World'.

I should have mentioned that 1940-1942 Chief, Four, and Sport Scout had the earlier simple switch that had a chrome ring around the black Bakelite housing.
