Pete Sink recently shared with me a few photos of the tail light on his Warrior TT motorcycle.
I always wondered if they were a factory accessory part or a sourced part. Pete said Jim Preussner sold him one that came from Lincoln, Nebraska and that they were originally the tail light of one of the Cushman motor scooters. Well, I recently purchased two just to be sure or to see if I got lucky.
If anyone knows for certain what year and model Cushman these were originally made for, I would appreciate knowing. I emailed four Cushman restoration people and only one responded.
Here are a few photos. Pete said his did not have stamps on it, though I see something on the lens in his photo, though can't make out what it says. Both of the ones I bought say, "TIGER-EY" and "NU-RAY." The only problem with the one I received today is that the bezel says Chicago--must have made in a couple of cities, right? I think Nelson also did that (had multiple plants) in the mid-forties.
