Great info
You are correct on the EE automotive /MC knowledge . When I first read that the coil is actually a transformer , I thought, is this an "air core " step up transformer ?. Then I studied a little more and with you explanations , I have a way better understanding of the operation . I also studied the relay for charging the battery . At first I was thinking, What "pulls in the coil "like for normal relay operations, and what is across the Normally open contacts. It seemed that the relay would always be pulled in , but the third brush in the Generator answered that.I did not understand at first ,but with your help things are a lot clearer. Thanks Bosch
