You probably have a prestolite generator. I believe ( but not sure) , they bought autolite. A popular replacement generator in the ‘80-90’s

Looking for a close up picture of a stamped 1947 Autolite generator tag. And do you know what the numbers indicate?
    Thanks

Don't go stamping numbers unless you are certain it is a repop anyway.

My Wilson Plank reproduction on the wall says "Toledo", but if yours is, in any way, of the vintage, please do not molest it.

I refer always to IndianFrank@yahoo.com with all of my Autolite questions,

    Thanks Tom!

A couple of Auto-Lite generator questions

Reassembling my generator for my 47 Chief and need some info I can’t seem to find.

I thought I had the correct generator tag, but it’s marked Syracuse, New York and the ones I see on Geers are showing Toledo, Ohio.

What generator and bike is the Syracuse one I have for?
And what do you use to stamp the numbers?

Also looking for the correct wire to use from the main brush to the cutout. Is it the black-green wire?

    Thanks
