Harley 2 Post Cut Out Solid State

So I bought one of these fancy solid state 2 post cut outs for my 26 JD. My question is, are they wired in the same way a stock cut out would be wired? Are there any "flow" direction with these (ie. which side is connected to the batt)

Also how do these work in regards to the movable 3rd brush? Is there no need to adjust charging rate through that 3rd brush now or does it still work to adjust charge rate?

They are annoyingly unmarked, but the positive battery terminal goes to the serial number end. Your third brush acts as with the regular electro-mechanical relay.
