46 wl wiring

I am working on a 46 wl, am currently working on the wiring and was having some trouble which turned out to be the switch. That problem is solved so I started again wiring. Took everything off the switch and dash and went wire by wire. Connected main power to switch and headlight, works fine. Connected tail light works for about a minute then kicks the little popper I put inline. Disconnect headlight leave tail light connected works fine reconnect headlight popper kicks out. Any ideas please? Thanks Mike

I always use an OHM meter to check circuits when wiring.How many amp breaker or fuse?[What the hell is a popper?]

The "popper" is a little inline breaker, when the button pops it can be reset.

You still did not say what amp it pops at.maybe it is the problem.
