  • Two post relay solid state

My '34 VLD is overcharging ( I think ) The battery posts had heavy corosion and a spade type in line fuse holder was so coroded I coulden't pull the fuse out , after about only 200 miles . I am thinking of going with a solid state two post . JP has them for $104 . Does anybody have any experience with them , or know where I can get one cheaper ?

You might try the link below for a 2-post relay substitute. There maybe Effectively, this is a diode in place of the coil/contacts. As for overcharging, you should look at adjusting the 3rd brush inside the generator cover (CCW for less current; CW for more current - when facing commutator end on left side of scoot). Use a small clamp-on ammeter to measure current output or your dash ammeter (at various RPMs). What type battery are you using? Hope this helps!
