HD 32 E 2 Brush Conversion - Quality Field Coils??

    Howdy Chaps,

In the process of doing Ed's quickstart2000 and a V-Tronic electronic regulator conversion here, discovered my shunt coil is toast when dissecting my 32E to do a two brush conversion. Who would you recommend for sourcing high quality field coils not of the big aftermarket pursuasion?

Also, and disregard if you read this over on caimag, am curious if anyone has installed two of the larger regulated coils for increased output as opposed to merely replacing wth regulated and shunt coils.

    Thanks in advance.
    Cheerio,
    Peter

I'd say your easiest option would be here

At least Kurt stands by his parts.

    I'd get them from here

as not only do I avoid the high cost of postage and duty, but I've heard these made in Holland are very good. Not an option for you,for the above reasons.

      Howdy Dave,

Thanks for your response, I'm not opposed to the tedium of sourcing parts from Holland - anyone remember Charles Qua's superb sintered bronze clutches from 20 years ago, if I ever sell my two Chiefs so fitted the clutches don't go with the deal - I just received a "genuine" V-Tronic from there as well.
