  • Deadbeat Custom's Cloth Covered Spark Plug Wire Install

Installed a set of cloth covered plug wires from Deadbeat Customs and have been really pleased with them. I got a set in red, but you can choose from black, orange, yellow and green too. Put together a tutorial on the install. Easy job that adds a custom touch to your motorcycle.

FYI, you can buy that wire by the yard at Restoration Supply Company www.restorationstuff.com. Or Rhode Island Wiring Supply. For those who do no have RI Wire's supplies catalog... it is a must-have. Every form of cloth covered wire. They advertise harnesses... but they also supply all kinds of wire, fittings, plug ends -- everything you need.

For the 'original' plug wire, Restoration Supply has the correct "Packard 440" wire with a copper core in it. That works well with the old coils and plugs. You don't want to use Graphite core plug wire with a lot of the old plugs.

    Cheers,
