    Fairbanks-Morse Magnetos

Hey sports fans! I looked through a ton of threads but did not find out what I need to know. Is Fairbanks-Morse still in business? I tried the internet but came up with repair shops and info sites-no company cite. I have a HD model F-M mag I want to install in a WR motor I'm trying to get on the road this spring. I am looking for test procedure and spec manuals for this unit. A parts book with diagrams would be tits. Pertinent webcites would also be a plus. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

F-M has been bought and sold many times and have drifted into the mists of corporate takeovers. They no longer deal in magnetos. All the parts and info are available from Morris and Joe Hunt so no issues keeping one going.

Thanks for the info and web links. I may end up sending it to Joe Hunt for a tune-up. After I did this post it dawned on me to look in my HD manuals for data. My Sportster manual has testing and timing procedures. There is also a dynamite exploded view parts list for the model I have. Whoda thunk?!? When all else fails, read the instructions! Thanks again.....DonDz
