HD Generators

I have 2 generators for 30's vintage Harley that need repair. Can you tell me if I need to use someone that specializes in these or, can an average local generator/starter shop usually do the job? Also, what would be an average price to do this?

I suggest you check with Steve Blancard, who writes "Blood Sweat and Gears" in the magazine. Steve does electrical restorations.

The local shop may well be able to give you back a working generator but they're not going to take the time to cosmetically restore the generator that a specialist would ... Perry (but then I may be biased)
