[WWI Harley]

I am in the process of putting together a WWI Harley using a 1915 engine and 1917 transmission. it is coming along slowly and have most of the hard parts and working on them one at a time. I will be riding this around and using it as a teaching opportunity for kids. I have a broody helmet with the battle of St Mihiel on it and information on the battle, the Springfield riffle scabbard has an 8 branded in it that I will refer to the 8th Cavalry Punitive Expedition when the chased Pancho Villa around. Will not be a 100 pointer but will be period correct. Thanks Curtis

Welcome, Curtis. Early F and J's are my favorite Harley-Davidsons. I saw your post about Geloman and he is well known for being slow to deliver. I bought a number of things from him in the past and you will wait, and you will need to do some work to his parts when you get them. I have never heard of him, out-right robbing anyone so I believe you will eventually get your parts. From what I have heard on the grapevine; Geloman is a 'procurer' of parts from talented European makers. I suspect he has parts reverse engineered and (hopefully) copied from exemplary originals. Again, there may be some work to do on your part so don't expect perfection.

This is my 1916 F which I built the hard way, but loved every minute of it.
