Old timer who enjoys old bikes and working at a local shop joining this group, Riding modern bikes for 50+ years, recently picked up a '31 Harley DL 45" project from our shop owner. Looking forward to working on the project and meeting other members at the Black Hills Road Run in Hill City in September.

Welcome to the forum Steve. The DL's are great Motorcycles, but i hope it's all there. Not to deter you from your build, but DL's are difficult to track parts down for.*Good Luck.

Thanks guys, I expected to see some familiar faces.

The bike came with a rebuilt engine needing the assembly completed along with a crate of parts, at a quick glance the only major piece I noticed missing was the tail light. Hope to get started on it soon. At this point I'm looking at putting together a rider. If it goes well I'd consider a restoration. Unfortunately the bikes two previous owners passed before it was finished, I sure hope I break that cycle. I've got a '41 EL fresh built non correct knucklehead rider listed and the online
backlash has been disappointing. The ad says it's not "correct" but some folks just gotta bash it.

We have a pair of knuckleheads in the shop we're working that belong to a member here.
