    Hello fellow enthusiasts,

I’m new here at the AMCA and this forum, so let me introduce myself.
in my late teens I’ve bought an old FLH Electra glide shovelhed and loved riding and restoring it. After a few years I had to sell it, now thinking how stupid could I be.
Anyway, live went on, got married and we had 4 sons. I’ve always missed riding and maintaining my bike.
A few years ago I, kind of acciently, got in possession of a Zundapp S200 from 1930. This rebooted my love for HD and it took me some time to figure out what I would like. I fell in love with the F-heads and I’ve been looking for a JD (‘28 or ‘29) for some years.
But eventually I bought a VLH, an awesome bike to start with. A VLH is an 80 ci. flathead and only produced in 1936. It is still quite original, but had a older restoration including a new paintjob.
Since the paintjob is incorrect, I will have it redone and I will post a question about it later.
I’m looking forward to learn from you guys, since I’m quite a newbie.
    Cheers,

    Roelof.

Roelof, Welcome! Selling an vintage motorcycle and regretting it later I think is a right of passage for many of us
one of my favorite sayings is, to paraphrase, if you could erase all the mistakes of your past, you would also erase all of the wisdom of your present. Remember the lesson, not the
    disappointment.

Glad to have you on board!

Should be an 'edit' tab on lower right of your post.

The 1935 VLDD is an 80 cu. in. sport solo and very rare. Only 179 VLDDs were ever manufactured. Its unlikely more than a very few, restored as this one, exist today.
