  • Hi from not so sunny Australia

Hi guys, just to introduce myself i am of course called Mark and i run a company out in Australia called Crazyhorse Indian where we buy sell and make various parts for Indian Motocycles from 1901-1953. We are based in country Victoria and amongst other things we cast Barrels and Cylinder heads for 600 & 750 Scouts and 101's as well as Standard Scout Barrels. We make an eclectic range of parts from Speedo drive 41/2 Sports Scout, 12v Alternators for most Indians from 1916-1953, electric starter kits for Indian Chief which retain use of the kickstarter, Speedometers for 741 and all sorts of other parts. We carry some 3500 lines of parts in stock from Melbourne and we ship globally. Our website www.crazyhorseindian.com.

My first love affair was my 1948 Chief but i also have a 1944, and a 1938 Chief and a Copper Chout with a CAV motor in it. Love long rides in the country not always Australia but also New Zealand USA Uk and Europe. Actually i dont mind where as long as its not a city the weathers good and im on my bike.

    Cheers

Hello Mark, I like your electric start for Chiefs. Might have to indulge myself if I get any older.

...in case any are wondering, yes Australia is far away, yes shipping is a concern...BUT speaking from experience... buying hard to source parts from Crazyhorse is easy-peasy and not that big a deal! They've got quality goods, great service, and even though shipping takes longer it's fairly priced (FedEx and UPS make their money on shipments headed abroad FROM the US, the shipments coming back to the US are basically backhaul and cost way less than going the other way)

Welcome Mark, one of met best friends in the world lives in. OZ, and is an Indian man you may know him Garth. I've been married to a Kiwi girl for over 40 years now. Been in your neck of the woods many times. We won't talk about Kings Cross in Sydney in 1971 when I was on R&R because I don't remember much! I follow you on the Book of Faces. Thanks for keeping the brand alive.
