Sorry for the delay. Life got in the way. Joined years ago and have only lurked once or twice in that time. Now retired and have the time and place to devote to restoring my '60 FLH I've had since about 1978. The bikes been apart for 25 or so years waiting on me. Can't believe I just admitted that and it is now that I realize how much I have forgot and the handful of parts that got away from me or were badly neglected and need serious attention. Anyway, thanks for having me and listening to the sad story. Hopefully I'll do better with the Panhead and this Forum. James.

Welcome! Sounds like a great project, enjoy the time spent wrenching and the satisfaction of seeing it all come together. Ask questions and don’t let any setbacks get in your way they are often times the best way to learn about the process and your bike. Enjoy!

              Welcome Aboard Saddletramp,
I've been riding a Pan for 53 years, still my favorite bike. Your 1960 FLH will provide so much fun, building it and riding.
Lot's of great people and help here, enjoy the ride!

Thanks everyone for the kind words and suggestions. This will be the second time I have had the '60 apart in the 40 some years I have had it. I am attempting to de-chrome and undo the damage I did in the 70's and early 80's in my ill-advised younger days. James.

Thanks Paul. My avatar is my latest pic of the '60 from 1984. All chromed and not where I want to go back to. I'm actually in Colorado now and it is stripped down to rebuild like it was after I bought it in 1978. Also setting up my survivor 1948 Panhead. So very busy here with the two. I'll be back in VA hopefully to a meet there in VA or PA in the fall. Thanks for the response.
