Although I have been involved in vintage motorcycles (Pentons and Triumphs mainly) for years, and have known about the AMCA organization through Ed Youngblood I just joined AMCA this month because I have acquired a true antique MC. Typical story of a guy having a bike stored in his attic for 50 years, not exactly sure what he had..... told me I could take stewardship of it. As the typical story goes, a year went by with minimal contact. Then he said come get it he was cleaning out the attic. It turns out it wasn't exactly what he thought, 1932 Chief and Harley mongrel, it is a 1930 Indian 101 Scout. So I have made mission to restore it, ride it and share it. I will probably need some advice and parts and look forward to meeting some of you.

Greeting's from the Forum Conrad. You must lead a charming life~haha. Many m()()Ns ago, i had a 1931 Indian 101, last year, that was bastardized to run a Wall of Death. It was one of the best running motorcycles I've ever owned, a 100% Wonderful Motorcycle. Have fun with the restoration, and ride and enjoy.

You may already know these, but:
                1) there's a 101 Association that you can join https://www.101scout.org/
                2) the 101 Association has a shop manual available that will answer most (but not all) questions about your 101
                3) the Perkiomen Chapter of AMCA in Pennsylvania hosts an excellent and sizable meet at the end of April. If you can attend then maybe it could help you determine what your goals might be for getting your Scout back on the road...and maybe you can score a needed part or more!

Thank you. I have joined the 101 Association, received the shop manual, which is an incredible asset and I am planning on going to Oley
