I'm Ken Scheepers, living in Flower Mound, just north of the the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. I have recently completed the restoration of my 1946 Ariel VG500 and wanting to find like minded motorcycle enthusiast's, I ran into a gentleman in the Denton County Tax Office while attempting to title and register my bike, overheard my questions while at the counter, and he told me about AMCA. I do not remember his name unfortunately.

I am now retired, originally from South Africa, moved to the US in 1985, and became a Naturalized US Citizen in 2006. I've been a gear head since the age of 9, and been riding and racing motorcycles since then, although I took a "break" in 1989, and just now picked it back up. My acquired this bike began in 1980 and the rest of the story is as follows, and posted on my website: https://kenscheepers.com/1945-ariel-vg500/

I am looking forward to meeting and riding some of you folks in the near future.

Welcome Ken. I relocated to the DFW area a few years ago. Seems to be a few of us old motorcycle lovers around! If you want a local connection you can check out the Cherokee Chapter. https://www.cherokeeamca.org/index.html We get together at various locations to show off bikes and swap stories. Hope to see you and that beautiful Ariel out on the road!

Hi ken, we probably won't meet because I live in Poland but we have similar preferences ( English motorcycles). Actually my HD VL 1936 took me to AMCA, but I also have a motorcycle from the same era as your Ariel. I found some picture on my computer of my Ajs.
              All the best for everyone.

Welcome Ken, beautiful bike. I believe the Ariel is the most beautiful Tea-Sipper out there. Welcome to the club. You are in the correct place. As my wife is a Kiwi-I'm still pulling for the All Blacks. She loves to discuss Rugby, especially with those from SA and OZ.

Hello Ken, greeting's from the Forum.
That's a super nice restoration on a beautiful Ariel. I have a soft spot for those old British Motorcycles as well. Also, i've looked into your website, and it is...'Very Interesting'. You lead a very busy life from the looks of it.
                      Take care Ken.

Thanks Pete. I have to be quite honest, I remember the Rugby days in the 70's & 80's well, between the Springboks and All Black's and the awesome rivalry! I have not followed the Rugby for several years now, other than a bit of news here and there.
