Welcome, icenaxes. You'll get good advice here, and get to know some incredible people on the AMCA forum. I had a '48 Chief that I got from a wiry little crazy man in Adel, Georgia. He had to dig the Chief out of it's grave at a plant nursery. It had been in a dilapidated shack and the owner dug a hole with his back-hoe and then pushed shack and all into the hole. The guy I got it from saw the front wheel & tire above ground and talked the nursery owner into giving him the '48 if he was willing to dig it out. He did most of the digging and then used the back-hoe to pull it out. Unfortunately, the motor and transmission were still down in the hole somewhere (along with other good stuff) but that was the end of that Southern Georgia archeological dig. Thanks to people I knew in the AMCA, and Toney Watson, I was able to gather everything else I needed. The '48 Indian Chief, and '48 Harley Panhead are both representative of their noble heritage, hence milestone bikes in my opinion so you have a great motorcycle to lavish your attention on. Again, welcome to the AMCA.Eric Smith

Welcome Icenaxes (promise....no jokes about your big head...) Lots of Indian folks here and judging from the background in your photo, hiding behind your big head (ooops...sorrry!) it looks like this is not your first rodeo with old bikes, so looking forward to seeing what you've got!Pisten Bully is Harry Roberts in Vermont.
