Short intro, 65 Year old that is into motorcycles. Own many different brands from the 60's to the 00's. Why I joined now is to find info and hopefully answer to questions about my latest purchase, 1939 EL HD. It runs and rides, but is in need of maintenance and adjustments. It isn't perfect, but it is perfect in my eyes. I'll be asking questions and asking for advice on making it a dependable representation of a pre war classic. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks, been admiring this bike for many years. Stared in amazement every time I saw it. Owner knew that I was interested in it and when asked if he would keep me in mind if he decided to sell, he said that I was on the list. Didn't think much would come of it. Got the call around the 1st of the year to see if I was still interested. I was and I'm blessed that it all worked out. Plan is to go through the adjustments and maintenance this Summer and have it ready for Fall riding out in the Country.

Thanks, the goal is to make it something that when the average person sees it, they are amazed that an 85 year old motorcycle is still around and running. Have done a few things so far. Changed out the S&S E aircleaner to something that "looks" more like it is old and found a bicycle kicker pedal. Want to return to the stock 2 piece handlebars that would be on this early 60's front end and I'd like to find the original pogo seat setup. It will be a work in progress.
