  • Introduction from Buffalo, NY Member

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Frank and I want to introduce myself. I live in the Buffalo NY area and my username is FrankD. I have been an AMCA member for about five years, reading posts and learning from the many knowledgeable people on the forum. After extensive research, and with the guidance of a couple of members, I recently purchased my first antique Harley-Davidson; a 1939 EL and I look forward to networking with other members. I am a member of the Empire and Lake Erie Chapters.

    Thanks,
    Frank DiPietro

I beg to differ Rich, it appears to be a 1965 Silver Pearl Corvette. You're correct on the Big Block tho'. 1965 was the first year for a big block option, which was the 396 c.i..

                  Welcome Frank, very nice '39.

On the C2 Vette, the fender side louvers identify it as a 1965 or 1966. The Stinger hood on the car wasn't introduced until 1967 and is a very common modification on earlier year models. I can't make out b-pillar vents which would identify it as a '65 so I'm guessing it's a '66.

Welcome Frank. Very nice looking knuckle, how does she run?

ps If the vette doesn't rate getting a cover, what's next to it that does?
