I had a good question from a new Community Forum user about how to track back to topics you are interested in. The member did a forum search and came up with a good number of pages of earlier forum posts. Posts that he found useful he clicked like thinking that similar to other social media you could go back to a list of the topics you "liked" and then be able to go back to the original topic in this way. Unfortunately the vBulletin has not provided a way to see the list of all the topics you "liked". But there is a way that you can identify a topic that you want to follow once you have found it and that is by marking it a a topic you subscribe to and get notifications when updates or new comments are added to the thread. It also makes available a list of your subscribed topics in the member's profile that you can manage the list and even click on the topic and go back to it again. Here is what the Community Forum Help function says about subscribing to a topic.
So let's look at some image examples of what it looks like.

Hopefully this offers some help in how to be notified of changes to a topic you subscribe to. As mentioned above it is a way for you to be able to find topics that you may have discovered through a search and want to return to when you are ready to use it.

Above each discussion or topic, there is a Subscribe toggle. Clicking on this will enable you to follow the discussion easier. Each time someone replies to the discussion, you will get a notification that will show on your Messages page. You can follow these notifications to the new content or delete them from the Notifications area on your Messages Page.
If you wish to no longer follow a discussion or topic, then clicking on the button again will turn off your subscription.
