The AMCA Gulf Coast Chapter (GCC) is finally in sight. On June 5th, the GCC received approval from the AMCA National Board to proceed with forming a new chapter. Approval from the AMCA Board is great news so now it's time to move on to Step 2!
For those of you not familiar with the GCC, our home base will be located in the Tampa Bay Area (Brandon/Valrico) with the hopes of recruiting AMCA members from the Gulf Coast States but AMCA members from any State are more than welcome to join.
The GCC will be holding our inaugural meeting on July 28th at 3:00 p.m. and will be hosted by Ric Bolduc, AMCA #6058. The meeting location will be 613 Cedar Waxwing Drive, Brandon, Florida 33510. The agenda for the inaugural meeting will include an outline of the AMCA new chapter process; election of GCC Officers and Directors; GCC logo ideas; questions, answers, and open discussion; and food will be provided. You can request a copy of the agenda by sending an email to members@amcagcc.com
If you would like to be a part of this exiting new chapter and help form and mold the Gulf Coast Chapter, please join us for the inaugural meeting and RSVP by July 15th via email to members@amcagcc.com or by snail mail to Ric Bolduc at the address above. In your RSVP, please include your name, AMCA number, and contact information in case we need to move the inaugural meeting to accommodate more members (wouldn't that be great). Also, if you are interested in an Officer or Director position with the GCC, please note the position of interest in your RSVP. We currently have three AMCA members who have expressed an interest in GCC Officer/Board positions (see agenda). And last, but not least, show off your creativity and bring your GCC logo ideas to the meeting. If you can not attend the inaugural meeting but would like to join the GCC, or you would just like to know more about the GCC, please email us at members@amcagcc.com
There are great things that lie ahead for the GCC and we invite all to be a part of the excitement of forming and molding our new chapter.
