  • Repop Sheet metal vendor

This is gonna be a tuff one, but are there any vendors out there that make nice repop tanks and fenders for the 1929 model D's?

My research has left me disappointed.

    Re-Pop Tanks

Hello - I just purchased a set of Re-pop soldered tanks from Thomas Fesser. They were for my 1931 VC Harley Davidson. He runs an ad in the Trash and Treasure ads of the AMCA. I ordered them and received them in 3 days. Excellent workmanship. We double checked him on pressure testing them and they were just as he said. I highly recommend him - David Lloyd AMCA Advertising Manager

His contact was Thomas Fesser 717-626-1618 or tlf@hammercreek.com

        Repop Tanks

Good Evening Chuck - Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I didn't see the question.
I just finished sealing the tanks this weekend. They are ready to go to the painter
I use Red Kote sealer. I did my own research and found plenty of opinions on several brands. This is the second time I have used Red Kote and found it to be the best seal I have ever worked with. I think they all are good "If you prep the metal correctly", but I like the finished Red seal when it is cured. Sealing these new tanks was just preventive measures, so I don't have to worry about keeping the tanks full all the time - Call it Lazy!!!
Have a Great Day! - David
