I sold some bikes to Kaplan . He wasn’t quite as big as he is now. I didn’t get great money but I had to get rid of some stuff. I am supposed to be a lifetime member of the museum but I never got up there. Last time I talked to him he didn’t recognize me , but he does have a lot of people treating him as a celebrity which I think he quite enjoys .
i believe he started and owned some kind of computer bizz which he sold and used the money to go big with the museum . And his kid races dirt bikes of some sort.
he already has a shop connected to the museum so idk what machines he would be interested in.
but he has his own 40’ +? Trailer rig with Kaplan all over it.
So he travels if the price is right.
you might be better off with Wood. At least then I could bid on your bikes.

Thanks to everyone for their kind replies, Folks,

And sorry I cannot get active on anything soon, although time is certainly not on my side.

(If I was capable to do anything like an "inventory', Harry,... I would be able to stay in business!)

Aside, I need quality legal counsel as well as a liquidator.

        Tom;

        Consider contacting:

        #25 Prairie Chapter
        Plainfield, IL 60544
        Contact
        Terry Hughes
        President
        630-278-9280
        amca.prairie.info@gmail.com

Perhaps one of the members will know an attorney specializing in business sales.
(Or perhaps some members could volunteer to come over and help you get things sorted)

        GROK (Elon's A.I.) responds:

"Since no Peoria attorney explicitly lists antique motorcycle expertise, I recommend:
Contacting Thomas Howard or Kepple Law Group first, as they emphasize business transactions and are local to Peoria.

[Thomas Howard at Collateral Base (Peoria): Specializes in business transactions, including sales, mergers, and acquisitions, with 17 years of experience. While no direct mention of antique motorcycles is found, his expertise in business law could apply to motorcycle-related businesses. Contact: (833) 952-3111.

Kepple Law Group, LLC (Peoria and East Peoria): Handles business sales, contracts, and compliance. Their broad business law practice could cover transactions involving classic motorcycle businesses or assets. Contact: (309) 282-1545 or ckepple@kepplelawllc.com.]

Asking each firm about their experience with niche markets like antique motorcycles or vehicle-related businesses.

If local options lack the specific expertise, consider reaching out to national motorcycle law firms or local antique motorcycle clubs for referrals."

        GROK also suggested:

Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys (offices in Illinois, not Peoria-specific) focus on motorcycle law, primarily personal injury, but may have networks or referrals for business transactions involving motorcycles. Contact: Available online.

If I lived closer I would be there for you in person man.

        Paul
