what is the procedure for obtaining a registration in New York State and what documents are required

Are you coming over with a bike you currently own and have a title for?

Or are you buying a bike here?

If buying it here, does the current owner have a title? Or if a NYS resident, they should have a Transferable Registration, does not look very impressive like a title but in NYS for the older stuff, it is what we get.

Or are you buying something out of a basement with no paperwork??

Or is it a modern MC?
