  • Replicant Metals Knucklehead Front Fenders

I hope most folks have seen or heard of the new front fenders, Tom Feeser had for sale at Wauseon before he sold out all he had brought with him for the meet. Tom has an excellent reputation for his early tanks and fenders and has now gone into the early big twin front and rear fender production. The attention to detail of the original metalwork has resulted in a correct fender for a restoration very few people on the planet could spot as a reproduction. Plan to see them at Davenport next. I plan to purchase several for my machines, 1938 ULH and 1939 ULH first. Shelby

VERY interesting... I don't know of him. Do you know if Mr. Feeser has plans to reproduce the late Knucklehead rear fender??? How does one contact him?

Yes, he should have them ready by Jefferson. I bought two fronts from him at Wauseon and have two rears on order once they are ready. You can contact him through his web site at Replicant Metals.

I just returned for Sturgis and unpacked the front fender I ordered, very nice but no holes for the mudflap or horn mount, are they supposed to have these, all my OE fenders have them, thanks, Larry

            Larry,

I noticed that too but to me it is no big deal. Some guys will run the mud flap and some won't so. I typically don't run one my self. As for the lower horn mount holes I think the idea was to make it so you could dun either the early horn or later one and I am not positive that the holes are exactly the same. I would think they are but they may be just enough difference that it would make the use more year specific. In my book seeing what original fenders cost and their generally non perfect condition requiring lots of body work the costs for Tom's fenders are a lot more in line with my budgets. I don't have my bikes judged but I do want them to look correct and not trying to fool anyone on a resale but I do want them to look as correct as possible. Just can not afford to pay original paint and parts prices and since I ride all my stuff if it gets crunched as has happened in the past I am not out the cost and the original parts. Others do as suits you!!

Thanks Rollo, Yes I too am very happy with the fender, I was only curious about the holes, it is not a big deal for me to drill the holes for the mudflap and horn mount, thanks again and thanks to Tom for making these fine fenders available, Larry

The only different horn holes would be on the '48/'49 fender. And the the only difference is the size of one hole.
