If you are looking for the 6 volt EaglePicher Care free battery, I bought 1 from V-Twin a couple of months ago. Part # 53-0570.

Yes it is, Eagle Pintcher would not sell to me direct and sent me to a place in Minnesota, price for 5 was 60 each found them thru Interstate at a better price!

Thank you, it appears to be the same battery only sold by Interstate.

It appears that the 6 volt battery used for this set up is discontinued. It was Eagle Picher CF-6V18. Does anyone know of a replacement battery to fit in the box?

I spoke with him at Rhinebeck last year and his boxes are really quite impressive. I'm just not sure that anyone has identified a tried and true replacement battery yet. If anyone has long-term success with one, please share.

    Bob!

His Richardson replacement used a flawless original that I found in an alley a few blocks from home.

Side by side, they are identical, except his comes apart.
