I have had on helluva' time getting back on this forum. Of course it was all my own fault and I would never cast aspersions on the ethos of how this administration, firewalls, and the internet universe works. . . Way beyond my pea-brain capacity. Glad to be back and missed the community, and wonderful people that make this esoteric hobby so fun. I suspect my problems might be with my ISP because no other password sites were affected, just the AMCA forum. So, I wonder if this has been a problem with other members and if that may be why there is so little traffic here these days? I lecture my motorcycle friends for not being here and chastise them for bitching to me about why there is so little old bike spirit in the hobby. . . I could go on and on about that, but I'll leave that for another topic.

We had to go through this whole password thing again today. It's my fault (is my assumption) and I expect that I'll be doing this again tomorrow. I have been on this forum for a number of years and I can't say how many times I have had this password snafu. I document my U.N. and P.W. by date and time with every password change but something always fuds it up and back in the worm hole I go. . . I love it when I'm here, but hate when I'm looking through the restaurant window at everyone else is eating filet minion.

The forum just rejected my automatic sign in. I went down my 2026 list of dated passwords and found one that worked (dated 6-23-26). We have had no power outages, and the computer has been up and running all day. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any way to get a 'GOLDEN' password? Sorry to waste forum time on stuff like this but it's very frustrating.

If you can make a password work from the future, Eric,

            I'm impressed!

My password hasn't changed since the last big site overhaul when I lost Cotten as a handle. I must log in and out routinely, as "today's posts" doesn't show when logged in.

Overall, the format isn't too difficult, although the personal message format absolutely sux.
(The "groups" tab is a total waste of bandwidth for the site.)

PS: Are you using a PC or mobile?

PC, Tom. We've had it for 2 years and it has been problematic. I hate to say it, but this forum has been the only problem in the usual array of password protected sites we, and most people commonly have in the arsenal of consumerism, banking, bill paying, and networking. We do have a subscription internet protection service, and it is aggressive. Maybe that's it, but I confess that it's probably ME that is the problem. I appreciate your comments, Tom.

I just learned today what rocket scientists call it when something blows up: Its an RUD; Rapid Unscheduled Disassemby.
