    Shifting position on gear shifter cam

    I am trying trouble shoot an issue with a transmission lid. This shift drum has 3 close detents and 2 spaced apart-total of 5. Can I assume that the first of the 3 detents is first, followed by neutral and then 2nd, with 3rd and 4th spaced apart?

    Yes, that is how they are arranged.
