    Looking for mt Vernon Mechanic

Trying to remember the name of the fellow that repaired my 45 trany many years ago. He was the only guy out of many mechanics that made it work right. Had a company with the word Cycle Bits at the end of it. He was living in Mount Vernon Illinois. Anyone know? Or where he is now? I met him at a run in Death Valley and shipped the tranny to him never had any trouble with it after that. Thanks for any help.

        Hello,

Could it have been Dale Walksler? He had a H-D dealership and started his Wheels Through Time Museum in Mt. Vernon, IL, before moving evrything to Maggie Valley, NC a few years ago.

        Take care,

        steve Bryson

I remember that guy, I can't come up with his name, but I remember he always wore a goofy looking welding hat. He literally dropped out of society about 8 years ago, and no one has seen him since.....get a hold of Dale, he could give you better info.

I knew a fella by the name of Mike Diedrich, a good mechanic and old motorcycle enthusiast, worked in Mt Vernon for Dale some. Haven't seen him for 10 or so years now.
