Viewing The Indian Factory (The Wigwam) on State Street

The State St WigWam should still be standing as the Indian Motocycle Apartments I hope? When I was there in the late 80s on a brick stealing mission, they were in the middle of the conversion. The "tip" of the arrowhead was already missing by then.

You can take a virtual walk around the historic Indian factory at 837 State Street in Springfield, Massachusetts. Access Google Maps and type in the address. Then select street view. Every 60 feet or so, along every street, Google has made a 360 degree video. You can catch on to the software quickly, so that you can make turns, and travel completely around the old factory, sixty feet at a time. You can look up to the top of the factory, as well as look horizontally for the standard passer-by view.

By the way, the Wigwam is great history, but you wouldn't want to live there. Check the Springfield realtor sites. One of them has a scathing renters' review of the Indian Motocycle Apartments. Evidently there are plenty of robbers and drug dealers to go around.
