      Interesting to note that these pics were taken on the grounds of the State Fair Track (now called the Milwaukee Mile). The State Fair Track is advertised on the 1926 National Championships poster that's displayed in the 4th pic.

        The license plate on the red "45" is not correct to the orginal bike!

        The 1943 Wis. regs say that #394 was a:

        "Homemade Scooter" #62590, 1940 model

        It belonged to:

        Hans F. Christenson,
        22 S. Cuiver St.
        Chippewa Falls, Wis.

        How does a homemade scooter get a number that high?
