  • Identification of a transmission .

    Hi !

Is there (I know there is) any out there who can identify this transmission.

My guess is Reading Standard ???

Somone has propably used the lid for a better use. Whatever that would be. The sprockets looks usable !

I have had it for years an no one has come up with the right answere.

    Thanks for looking !!!

Whatever it is, it looks like it was a unit construction powerplant and they cut the transmission off.

Looking at the gears (and wish I had a clear pic of the output shaft), it appears that output is opposite rotation of input. Didn't someone say early Indian engines w/ transmission rotated "backwards"?

          I found it !

Here it is ! I stumbeled into this engine at a fellows workshop in my neighbourtown. He is moving, so a lot of stuff was lying around.
He told me its a German Wanderer from the late teens or early 20-ies. Pretty early for a unit engine, I guess.
It took almost ten years to find the answere!

          Thanks for Your help !
