Shovelhead cast wheels?

Does anyone recall if you could get a Harley FL or FLH with cast wheels and if those early cast wheels were painted silver or left raw? Thanks

IIRC, The 16 spoke wheels were optional equipment. They were not raw aluminum, the 75th Anniversary models were gold. The other models were silver, I think. The 7 spoke wheels were an accessory item, and were black. The 7 spoke wheels were discontinued about 1979.
