Yup, those rides where everything goes smoothly and according to plan are often forgotten. It's the ones that turn into "adventures" that burn through the layers of 'halfzeimer's' and bring a smile to your face. Colorado was certainly the most enjoyable state I've ever lived in in terms of it's spectacular riding opportunities. I was into sportier performance oriented bikes then, but if I were to go back there now I'd buy a new BMW 850GS with hard bags and enjoy all the riding opportunities, not just the paved ones. The only thing negative about Colorado was that my other passion is fishing and there weren't enough good opportunities for that.
Now I've made my way back to Maine and find it to be an excellent venue for both my passions. Though I do have to switch from 2 wheels to 4 (Yamaha ATV or Toyota Tundra) for the winter riding
