dropped from the local register

I loaned a book out to a member of the Oregon Trail Chapter a couple of years ago. I could not have it returned. I finally went through Richard Spagnoli, who had a positive effect on the return of my property. Since I have (created waves) within the Oregon Trail local chapter, I have been dropped from the register and even though I have e-mailed the new president, I receive no reply!
Am I to understand, that if other members steal from you...It is best to shut your mouth and cut your loses? How can I become re-instated without the thick animosity that would acompany the hard feelings within the local chapter?

doesn't seem right to me....if it were me i would ask myself: "do i really want to be part of a chapter that gave me the corncob like that?", i would say f#%&k em.
