OK ... I saw a set of two vintage "art deco" styled cast aluminum gas caps on ebay a couple of years ago, and didn't save the pics. I have kept an eye out for them since ... they were really great looking caps that would remind you of the Goodson art deco air cleaners (if you've ever seen them). They kind of had a fin or ridge down the center of the cap, and looked like cast aluminum ... smooth and natural finish. They went for a ton of money (maybe like $200 to $300), but were beautiful. Anyone have any idea of the maker or other info that might help? I couldn't find a more appropriate forum, so thought I'd try parking lot chatter.
