Is it rue that unlike last year Vendors will be admitted to the Fairgrounds on Thursday at 2PM? Can anybody confirm this? Only 2 weeks away!

the parking lot. look for camping in the catskills or hudson valley.you could get a vender spot.might just be the same price as a camping spot

You can spend the night in any Wallmart parking lot. That is one of my regular over night spots.

I found years ago that parking lot is hard on the back when sleeping - even when not sleeping

Why can't campers get in on Thursday? If vendors can get in why not campers? Can someone explain why all the rules at rhinebeck? If it's a super grand national why not treat it like one and let the people in!

Not everybody has a friggin" half million dollar motorhome. guys like AKA Hawg used to be the backbone of this club, riding to the meets with a tent and a lot of enthusiasm. these are the type of club members that should have top priority. Hey Hawg, maybe Taiwan Tedd has a softer parking lot than Walmart!

rhinebecks parking lot is a nice grass field. huge lot some wooded area to.only draw back is police are on the same grounds.i think you could camp out of sight

louie - you are right I spend the money at the vendors _ should at least help them un-load

barry - maybe while sleeping at walmart I can purchase an air mattress to save my back - but then I will have less money to spend at the meet, sorry to all the vendors

the energy setting up the campsite thursday night to disassemble to move it to the meet on friday just too set up again I will be too tired to shop and see all the great iron, and talk to all my freinds in attendance , guess I will need to purchase lots of jack daniels to drink and hope they all drive by or stop in

Tread lightly up there boys. The town of Reinbeck is scary. You have the local cops, A County cop barracks ( These are the storm troopers that guard the fair grounds in bullet proof vests in case you bad ass bikers decide to rape and pillage or if you decide to leave at 3:00pm instead of 3:30pm on Saturday. They are there to arrest you for breach of contract. You got to stay and put on a show for the NYC yuppies and their brats that come up on the train). i was up there yesterday frigging cops were hiding between the toll boths handing out seat belt tickets. you stop at a toll both remove your seat belt to get money from your pocket and out from the toll both comes a cop with your citation keep your toll money handy and your seat belt on. camping close to the swap meet http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/108458.html
